Puninar Logistics’ transportation planning system was manual and they felt that upgrading the planning for all their transport modes (sea, train and truck load) could lower costs. NMC was challenged with reducing dependencies on manual scheduling of deliveries which did not optimize consolidation of shipments and effective route planning. They wanted faster, more reliable shipment tracking. NMC selected OTM Cloud (and Inspirage) to help them solve their planning issues. Full OTM Cloud mobile capabilities were utilized including GPS tracking and integration with the here.com application. The results: 92% utilization of carrier capacities, significant cost savings through process optimization and end-to-end shipment tracking.
