Key Business Processes
Process orders quickly and efficiently. Streamline and maintain customer orders with matrix input and style-oriented screens. The ability to manage a wide variety of orders flows; such as bulk or release orders or the need to implement differing workflows for mass merchants from speciality stores or direct stores as an example. Obtain better visibility through full integration to a style master, demand sources, credit, and expected production receipts.
EDI. Reduce electronic data interchange (EDI) errors and fines, and meet retailer compliance standards. Employ mass-change capability of styles, price, quantity and schedule dates on a batch of EDI orders. Review EDI transactions on an exception basis prior to updating Oracle's order management module.
Maintain style history. Keep production and/or purchase history on each style. Track the costs per style or garment, including trim details and fabric or material yields and consumption. Maintain customer specific preferences such as size ranges by location or value added services like hang tags and labels. Manage common apparel style needs and attributes such as UPC generations, marker references, image or sketch attachments, NRMA codes, care instructions, and customer labels.
Cut and sew. Produce and manage cut tickets for in-house and outside processing production with visibility to collaborative start dates, operations tracking and expected delivery dates.
Allocate goods. Gain the ability to allocate goods to customers with knowledge of production shortfalls against bulk orders.
Track containers and landed cost. Facilitate the logistics of tracking inbound containers and capture cost of the contents. Easily track the departure date, estimated arrival, actual arrival, status, and contents of a container once it leaves the port of origin. Capture information on vessel name, shipment type, container number, purchase order numbers in the container, duty amount, and duty due dates. Obtain landed cost at the style level by capturing charges such as freight, duty, remerge and so on.
Ensure customer compliance. Capture and manage all of the different carrier, hang tag, packing, label, and shipment requirements that are required by each retail customer. Automatically meet all retail requirements, and minimize chargebacks due to compliance-related issues.
Manage chargebacks/rebates. Manage customer payments with chargebacks by applying receipts to customers’ outstanding invoices. Create and maintain customer-specific rebates for a fixed percentage of gross/net sales. Utilize debit transactions for open receivables to ensure a “zero” effect on accounting. Create automatic accrual entries on a periodic basis in the general ledger that can later be reconciled against the deductions taken by the customer with detailed reporting.
Manage warehouse operations. Automate client warehousing activities, including radio frequency receiving, put-away, pick and pack, UCC labeling, and shipping using Oracle’s warehouse management system. DAZ’s experts can configure and enhance the system to meet specific business needs as well as integrate Oracle Applications with your existing warehouse management system. Automate and account for value added services such as private labeling, hang tags, and customer price sticker application.
